Contact Details Forms can be modified to suit the necessary characteristics for any contact.
To modify or create forms see below step by step instructions (also see Animated Demonstration of Adding an Existing Field and Adding a New Field):
Step 1: Click on Tools -> Database and Forms -> Edit Contact Details Forms. The Form Editor will pop up. As with all windows within ContactTalk, the Form Editor window can be moved to any area of the screen simply by dragging it to the desired location. However, it can NOT be docked. To see an animated demonstration of creating a Field, click here.
The Form Editor will then be displayed.

Step 2: Click on the desired Control (and release, don't drag). Then click on the desired location within the Contact Details Form to insert the new Field. The box representing the chosen control will appear.
NOTE: In this case you are not Dragging & Dropping like you do throughout most of ContactTalk. Instead you are left clicking & releasing, then left clicking again where you want it and releasing.
Step 3: Expand the DataBinding Property within the Form Editor to expose the DataField properties below (or in some cases, you will just click on DataField as the DataBinding Property won't exist, which depends on the control you choose).
***IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU ASSOCIATE A DATAFIELD WITH YOUR NEW FIELD, OR ELSE ADDING THE NEW FIELD WON'T WORK!
See also Quick Reference for more information on Controls and Data Types.
Step 4: Click on the DataField button to the right of the cell. The DataField button has 3 dots as shown below:

DataField Button
The Data Type window will appear. Either select an existing Field from the list or...

Data Type Table
Click the Add Field Button. The Field Definition Box will appear.

Field Definition Dialog Box
Step 5: Enter the name of the Field you wish to create with no spaces or abstract characters. For example, "DueDate". ContactTalk will convert the name of the Field to "MyDueDate".
Step 6: Select the Field Data Type from the drop down list and click OK. To see an animated demo of this process of creating a new field, click here.
Step 7: Format the new Field as desired using the Control Properties.

Form Editor: Control Properties Tab
When you are finished, click the OK button on the Form Editor. If you are not happy with your changes, click the Cancel button.
NOTE: At any time while using the Form Editor, you can save your changes by going to the Form Properties tab and clicking the Save button. You can also change the Contact Details Form you are working on by using the drop down list.
