Step 2: Enter the Subject Line used to identify the Email. The Subject line is the indicator that ContactTalk will use to identify the emails which will be included in this mail mapping, therefore, make sure you carefully choose the subject line name.

|
Step 3: Highlight each Key within the email on the left and drag it to the green cells next to the appropriate ContactTalk Field. Make sure you include the colon : or any other character that is part of the Key so that the only remaining characters represent the data you wish to be imported. If there is a Key you do not wish to import, simply ignore it and don't drag it. |

Step 4 (Optional): Choose designated Keys which ContactTalkuses to identify those contacts which are already in the database (i.e. avoid duplication). That way, if the contact is already in the database, ContactTalk will simply update the data for that contact instead of creating a whole new contact record. Designate specific Key(s) by highlighting the Key in the green cell and right clicking. Then select Make Key Field. Multiple Key fields can be set. |

Step 5 (Optional): Select Manual Field(s) to manually type in the values of the Fields so that all Mail Mapped imported email which contain contact records will automatically update the Manual Field(s). Highlight the Field you wish to manually enter and right click. Then select For example, if all of the emails you are importing through Mail Mapping contain contacts who live in the United States, you can make "Country1" a Manual Field and have that field be populated with "United States" as shown in the picture to the right. You can do this with as many Fields as you wish. |
