1)  Getting Error "don't have access" to connect when trying to make calls: Make sure that once you install ContactTalk, when Skype or your SIP provider asks you if you want to allow ContactTalk to access your account, that you say yes.  If you are trying to make outgoing calls and receiving an error pertaining to not having access, go into the Options of your VOIP or SIP provider and make sure ContactTalk is on the list of "other programs allowed to use..."  This can usually be found in the "Security" settings.

Also, make sure you are connected to Skype or your SIP provider.  To connect, from the Main Menu, select Connect.  You can set ContactTalk to automatically connect upon startup from the Main Settings General tab.

2)  Getting Error "don't have access" to connect when trying to import or send emails:: Spyware, Virus Protection Software, and other Firewalls can occasionally interfere with the proper installation and performance of ContactTalk.  Make sure you have the settings on your protection software adjusted to allow ContactTalk access.

3)  Auto Updates: ContactTalk will automatically check for updates every 4 hours and if there is one available, it will notify you.  Click OK to start the process.

You can also manually check for an update from the Main Menu by clicking on Help->Auto Update. Once you see the Auto Update Wizard pictured below, close ContactTalk down and then proceed with the update.  This will prevent you from being forced to reboot your computer every time you Auto Update.

If by chance you still can't hear, then you may need to identify your sound card device.  See Main Settings Audio Tab.

5)  You created Voice or Email Action Items but they are still sitting in the Voice and Email Queues showing "Waiting" and have not executed yet: Uncheck the Pazcfrxy6 use All button in the bottom left hand corner of ContactTalk as pictured below:

6)  ContactTalk disappeared by itself? If you minimize ContactTalk or start working in another program and can't find it and think it may have even shut itself down, check your system tray on the bottom right as it automatically places itself there.

7)  Getting Error "This control is not using any fields in the database.  Click OK to flash the control in question". This means that you added a Field to a form without assigning a DataField to it.  After pressing OK, you should see a red X flash for a moment showing you where the empty Field is. Re-open the Form Editor and either delete the empty Field or assign a DataField to it by creating a new one or selecting an existing one.  Click here for Animated Demonstration.
